History

Mildred Elley has been educating the Capital District for over 90 years and Pittsfield, MA for over 20 years. Mildred Elley’s New York City Campus opened its doors in May of 2010. Initially, Mildred Elley was an all-female school, but our campuses are now coeducational. Mildred Elley is providing students with career training in the most highly desired career fields such as business and technology, digital media arts, and health and wellness.

Austin’s School of Spa Technology (formerly Austin Beauty School) has been educating beauty professionals in the Capital District for over 80 years. In 2005, the school became part of Empire Education Corporation. Its programs include cosmetology, barbering, esthetics and nail technology. Austin’s School of Spa Technology also offers a full student salon, Mirror Images Spa & Salon, where students are supervised by faculty and practice their skills on real clients.
